Quest to be a Renaissance woman

Whatever happened to the Renaissance man? You know...those people that had a thirst for knowledge and the drive to excel in multiple subjects? You would think that with such much information at our fingertips, people would be jumping for the chance to expand their knoweledge base.

Well I am on the quest to be a Renaissance woman. Education, music, art...next I would like to be fluent in a foreign language because something tells me the four years of French that I took in high school doesn't count. I would also like to try my hand at photography. Here's my picture of the St. Lous arch. Surprisingly enough, it was taken with a disposable camera. As soon as I recover from the gas prices, I'll buy a real camera and really see what kind of damage I can do! :)

What a meritable quest, Cea! Think of the opportunities for you to expand your world, to connect with different people, and to quench your thirst for knowledge. I commend your active pursuit in improving your mind. So many people would rather their minds go idle. I'd prefer to talk to you! You're curious!

Be on guard, though - sometimes a person can get depressed if they falter in their quest. You should devise a plan to deal with possible failure. Or, better yet, build your self-confidence so that you never experience so-called failure. You can instead just call it "learning"! Good luck!
